How to create a PDF file
So you've written something you would like to submit to AmbushArts.com, but it's not a Word (.DOC) file. You're going to have to convert it to PDF. However, this is much easier than it sounds. First thing you'll need is a decent PDF converter. PrimoPDF is a great utility and it's entirely free. Then, if you don't already have it installed on your computer, you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is also free. Follow the directions below to convert your file from any format into PDF.
PrimoPDF
- Download and install the software.
- Open the program that you created your file with. Most likely it's a word processor.
- Now open your file.
- Select print file from the program's menu options as if you were going to print a file like usual.
- Instead of clicking 'OK', locate the printer 'Name' field and scroll down through the options until you find 'PrimoPDF'. Select this option.
- Now click 'OK'.
- A PrimoPDF window will pop up. Locate the 'Save As' field and click on the button with two dots on the right.
- Select the folder you would like to save the file to and name the file whatever you would like your final PDF file to be named.
- When you are ready, click the 'Create PDF' button.
- PrimoPDF will automatically create your PDF file and open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- If the file looks the way you want it to look, you are ready to submit it to AmbushArts.com
